Answer Hazards Management is fully integrated with Answer Distribution and Manufacturing applications.
Every product within Answer Enterprise can have a designated hazard category which controls how the item must be handled.

Hazard and safety information can be defined for each product detailing the handling instructions, labelling and packaging instructions, and risk and safety phrases. This information can be different depending on the method of transportation.

Raw materials, defined as hazardous, cannot be received onsite until the safety information is recorded on the system. All goods receipt notes contain the hazard and safety information to ensure safe material handling.

The purchase receipting process will automatically prompt for supplier MSDS details, periods of effectiveness and so on. The actual document can then be scanned and 'attached' to the Part/Loc/Lot record, for ease of enquiry.

All manufacturing instructions relating to the use or creation of hazardous materials contain the hazard and safety information to ensure safe production and packing activity.
Selection of hazardous finished goods automatically checks whether a Material Data Safety Sheet needs to accompany the goods.

A national inventory list can be maintained which defines that certain products are banned in some countries. The Answer Sales Order Processing module automatically checks this list and prevents the sale of banned goods to other countries via Market Availability processing.
