Allow the retail point to communicate with the back office and vice versa

This optional module provides the Central/Head Office functions and linkages between the main Answer Enterprise ERP back office functions and the Answer Point of Sale.
It enables the Branch/Retail Point to communicate with the back office and vice versa.

It also supplies the Branch/Retail Point order management processing, specifically the stock allocation and balancing algorithms which ensure the right store gets the correct levels of inventory.

Interfacing Answer Enterprise and the Store/Retail Point

The interfacing process between Answer Enterprise and the store is divided into two main areas:

• Branch/Retail Point Outgoing into Answer Enterprise
• Branch/Retail Point Incoming out of Answer Enterprise

The outgoing interfaces into Answer Enterprise ensure:

• VAT/Tax is correctly accounted for, ready for reporting
• Deposit Accounting is carried out
• Sales and Cost of Sales are accounted for
• Tender details are recorded, ready for bank account reconciliation
• Tender Costs accrual processing will optionally take place

Typically, but not limited to, the Branch/Retail point Outgoing interfaces cover the areas of:

• Sales achieved
• Orders for subsequent shipping, including mail order
• Monetary values and details received, Cash, Credit Cards, Deposits etc
• Stock Movements, Sales, Damage, Out of Code etc
• Stock Take details
• Customer Care Activities
• Branch/Retail Point Transfer Activities
• Purchase Orders Raised
• Purchase Receipts Made
• Purchase Invoices Matched and Received
• Stock Receipts from Allocation Processing
