Developed using pure Oracle tools, Answer applications use the technology to best advantage to help keep you in control.

We work closely with Oracle who continually update and improve tools to assist in developing applications.
Current releases of Answer Enterprise ERP are based on the Oracle Developer 6i and Developer 10g.

Clients

From the outset of the design and development of Answer, we realised that customer requirements would never be the same. Subtle differences in market places and processes require the software to function in different ways to effectively help the business.

In particular, reporting requirements vary widely. This is why the database structure of Answer and the way data is stored is not hidden.
We can provide the tools and consultancy to help your staff create output documentation and reports from any ODBC compliant source.
For example, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, which are common and well understood desktop tools, can help you leverage the data stored in Answer.

Answer will operate across the following client user interfaces:

WebForms
No application software needs to be installed onto the client machines. All you need is a browser and some sort of connection to your server, for example a VPN or dial-in connection or your company wide internal network.

Client/Server
Centrally located application and configuration files result in a quick no fuss PC installation. All Answer software maintenance is done in one place with rare PC upgrade requirements. We can support most 32 bit versions of Microsoft Windows on the clients including Windows XP/2000/98.

Database

Based on the world leading Oracle database, Answer Enterprise ERP can offer high levels of integrity, security, availability and genuine high performance.

Answer is compliant with the latest releases of the Oracle database (9i and 10g) and can support new versions shortly after their issue from Oracle. We have been involved in Beta programmes with Oracle in order that we can take advantage of new releases earlier and provide Client's with an application running on the latest RDBMS.

As with any software product, Oracle will stop supporting certain versions of the database and development tools. We ensure that you are kept fully aware of such changes and help plans the necessary upgrade efforts to ensure your implementation is fully supported by ourselves and Oracle.

Operating Systems

Answer interacts very little with the operating system, which means that we don't heavily rely on certain types or versions. Current customer implementation strategy sees mainly Unix, Linux and Microsoft Windows implementations of Answer.

Our close contact with Oracle has resulted in us becoming an Oracle partner company.
